How to “make it” as an illustrator with Shawna Clingerman

I’m so excited to introduce you to Shawna Clingerman, who is such an inspiration to me!

I met Shawna through my Moodboard class, where she made some incredible work, and I have fallen in love with her spirit, her authentic, and her amazing talent.

She is an artist and illustrator doing work for some of the biggest scrapbooking companies like Becky Higgins, Project Life, and American Crafts, Photo Play, and some stamp companies. Through Illustrated Faith, she has a regular recurring printable set that comes out every month on their site.

LET BEAUTY BE YOUR GUIDE

How much more enjoyable is life when you lift the pressure of having a specific destination in mind and just follow the most beautiful path? So much more. But that’s not the easiest thing to do (at least for me, it’s not).

As someone with an achieving mindset and lofty goals it can be so hard to let go of expectations and follow your heart. It’s scary, what if the most beautiful path doesn’t lead to the destination you want? But I can honestly say that the best things in my life have come from turning off my brain, listening my intuition and following something that felt beautiful in the moment. (more…)
